Rebecca Minkoff's Spring-Summer 2016 runway show was inspired by the 60's pop and rock singer, songwriter and actress Marianne Faithful. During that decade, the hottest look was mod and boho which included sexy knee-high boots, mini dresses and bangles.
To complement the 60's look, TRESEmmé Lead Stylist Jeanie Syfu created an airy blowout complete with center part and grown out fringe bangs.
"We want the look to have a bedhead feel with polished ends, so I used the TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Collection to get just the right texture," she says.
Step 1: Lead Stylist Jeanie Syfu started by applying TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Wave Creation Sea Foam throughout the model's damp hair and then proceeded to rough dry (blowdry the hair without smoothing or ironing).
Step 2: Use a sea salt spray. Syfu and her team of stylists layered in TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done Sea Salt Spray and continued to dry the hair until it has a bedhead texture.
Step 3: Using a round brush, blow-dry large sections of hair applying only a light tension to the brush to finish the ends while keeping an effortless, tousled look.
Step 4: Roll the ends into large barrel curls and clip them at the temple, releasing once the look is set.
Bonus: Got second day hair? Dry shampoo is a great way to preserve your hairstyle. Syfu recommends spraying TRESemmé Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo to absorb any excess oil and refresh strands. Back brush the surface of hair to create added, airy texture.
Voilà! In just 5 simple steps you have the airy, blowout inspired by the 60's.
