4 Fourth of July Outfits for Every Occasion

4 Fourth of July Outfits for Every Occasion

One of the best days of summer is finally here. Whether you’re partying on a boat or BBQ-ing with family, the Fourth of July is always a fun time. Here at College Living, we believe in celebrating to the max…from head to toe! Here are four different outlfits so that, no matter the occasion you’ll be supporting the good ol’ U S of A in style.

Watching the Parade

Getting up early, staking out a spot and laying out a comfy blanket is one of the best ways to start off the holiday. I went with a thin turtleneck crop paired with a high-waist skater skirt, both from Forever21 and cinched with a tan belt from PacSun. I wore my trusty ankle boots from Mudd (throwback, amiright?) and topped it off with a floppy sun hat I got from an adorable boutique in Venice, CA. This outfit is fun and trendy, yet still lightweight for sitting in the hot morning sun.

Garden Party

If you’re home for the summer, there’s a pretty big chance you’ll be partying with the ‘rents this Fourth of July weekend. We love this classic look when celebrating in style. This white Blaire swing dress (from my new favorite clothing company, Duffield Lane) was perfect for the occasion. I loved how it was fitted on top and swingy on the bottom. I paired it with shades from Forever21 and nude pumps from Macy’s.

Casual BBQ

Nothing is more American than sitting back, relaxing with a cold drink and grilling up some Fourth of July classics. Our inspiration for this look includes a red tube top from American Eagle, bleach-stained Levi’s high-waist shorts and the classic handmade, patriotic bow.

Boat Day

If you’re one of the lucky ones with a boat (or at least friends with someone with a boat), we definitely envy you. Do it for all the landlocked college women and go full-on nautical with your boat day attire, with a navy and white striped Theresa tunic from Duffield Lane, the classic floppy hat and some strappy sandals with gold accents.

Wherever you go this holiday weekend, make sure you celebrate in style like a true CollegeLiving girl. Special thanks to Duffield Lane for sending us some clothes to try out! We loved them!
